U.S. visa photo requirements

The U.S. Department of State requires the photo to meet the following:

• Size of 2 x 2 inches (5 x 5 cm).

• White or off-white background, with no shadows.

• Facing the camera, with a neutral expression and eyes open.

• No glasses.

• No hat or head covering, except for religious or medical reasons.

• Taken within the last six months.
