General questions

What services does JH Consultoría Internacional offer?

We guide you through U.S. visa processes: work, tourist, professional and immigrant visas. We also offer appointment scheduling, guidance throughout the process, document photography and lodging in Monterrey and Nuevo Laredo.

I don't know which visa I need. Can you help?

Yes. The right visa depends on the purpose of your trip and your situation. Message us on WhatsApp, tell us about your case and we will tell you which option applies to you.

Do you guarantee visa approval?

No. No agency can guarantee it, because the final decision always belongs to the consular officer. Be wary of anyone who promises it. Our commitment is that your application is complete and that you arrive well prepared.

Do you only serve clients in Monterrey?

We have an office in Monterrey, but we also serve clients online throughout Mexico and abroad.

How much experience do you have?

We have more than 30 years of experience in immigration procedures and work hand in hand with immigration law firms in the United States.

How do I start my process?

Message us on WhatsApp. We review your case, explain your options and give you a quote before we begin.

Costs and payments

How much does your service cost?

It depends on the type of visa and the needs of your case. We give you a clear quote before we start, so you know from the beginning what is included.

Is the visa fee included?

The visa fee is set by the U.S. government and is separate from our fees. We tell you the current amount when you start your process.

Work visas

Which types of work visas do you handle?

We work mainly with H-2A visas, for seasonal agricultural work, and H-2B visas, for temporary non-agricultural jobs.

Can I apply for a work visa without an employer?

No. Temporary work visas always depend on a job offer from an employer in the United States. If you do not have one yet, message us and we will guide you.

Do I have to pay to get hired?

The H-2A and H-2B program rules prohibit charging workers recruitment fees. Be wary of anyone who asks you for money in exchange for a job.

Can I bring my family?

In some cases, your family can apply for a dependent visa, although with certain limitations. We explain what applies to your situation.

I am a U.S. employer. Can you help me?

Yes. We support companies with worker recruitment and logistics on the Mexican side. Contact us to talk about your season.

Tourist visa

What can I do with a tourist visa?

The B1/B2 visa allows you to travel to the United States for tourism, family visits, medical treatment or business trips, such as meetings or conferences. It does not allow you to work.

How long is the visa valid?

The consulate decides the validity in each case. Mexican citizens are commonly granted visas valid for several years.

Can you help me renew my visa?

Yes. We review your case to find out which renewal option applies to you under the current rules.

I was denied a visa. Can I try again?

Yes. Before you apply again, we review your case to decide with you the best time and how to prepare.

Do my children also need a visa?

Yes. Every family member, including minors, needs their own visa. We can support you with the process for your whole family.

Professional visa

What is a professional visa?

It is a visa for people with a university degree and a job offer in the United States. The most common options for Mexican citizens are the TN visa and the H-1B visa.

How do I know if my profession qualifies?

Send us your degree and your job offer, and we will review whether your profile qualifies.

Do you have openings for professionals?

We run recruitment processes for TN visas in Mexico. Send us your résumé by WhatsApp or email.

Immigrant visa

What is an immigrant visa?

It is the visa that allows you to live and work permanently in the United States and leads to permanent residency, also known as the green card.

How long does an immigrant visa take?

Timing varies widely from case to case and can be long. We review your situation and explain what to expect.

Do you handle my legal case?

Immigration cases are handled together with the immigration law firms we partner with. They handle the legal side, and we accompany you throughout the process.

Appointments and consulate

Can you schedule my appointments?

Yes. We schedule your appointments at the CAS and at the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey or Nuevo Laredo.

Can you get me an earlier appointment?

No one can buy or reserve dates outside the official system. What we do is find the most convenient option among the available dates.

Do you prepare me for the interview?

Yes. Before your appointment, we prepare you so you arrive with confidence and know what to expect.

Do you take visa photos?
